Crafted for your Lifestyle
Twenty years ago, I became a father and naturally I wanted to do my part to prepare for my first child. I built the best baby furniture I could with my limited experience and tools. I love creating art with my mind and my hands and have developed a unique style over the years. I have spent my life serving others. I have served my country, active duty Navy for 20 years; I have served my community as a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America for 18 years; and in various positions in my church. So many people are affected by disaster each year and it breaks my heart to see them having to start over again, sometimes with absolutely nothing. I enjoy spending time with these people, learning about them, and helping out however I can. Frequently that help includes removing large trees that have fallen onto houses or across streets. Occasionally, with permission from the owner, I will keep some of the wood and work it into a special piece to help remember the destructive power of nature but also the beauty that can come from it.
I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. I use reclaimed wood whenever possible both for sustainability and for the unique character it provides. You may find embedded nails or screws, bluing of wood from metal, holes or grooves from wood-boring insects, saw marks, or cracks. These are not mistakes but intentionally used to maintain the character of the wood and its storied past. Some colors will fade over time but with proper care each piece should bring many years of joy and use. I'm always available to help you maintain the look of your wood.
